High in the rolling hills of Kyaminyawandi Village in Nyakiyumbu Sub County, the drone rises—and what it captures below is nothing short of extraordinary. The women of TWASE Women Development Trust are celebrating, and from the sky, you can feel the power of unity, purpose, and progress.
What began as a bold idea by 10 visionary women has grown into a grassroots force for change. After conducting in-depth research into the living standards of women in their region, these women faced an undeniable truth: despite government programs in education, health, environment, agriculture, and microfinance, poverty remained painfully present, especially in rural villages like theirs.
This celebration, captured from above, marks not just a gathering—but a declaration. TWASE is here, and it's working.
The drone footage glides over smiling faces, colorful fabrics, rhythmic dances, and the unmistakable energy of women who are reclaiming their futures. From humble structures to a shiny new Administration Building that houses micro-loan meetings to fields where women are applying new farming techniques, the aerial view offers a fresh perspective on local development driven & powered by women, and created for women.
TWASE Women Development Trust is more than a micro-finance group. It’s a movement rooted in lived experience, built by women who know what their community needs—and who refuse to wait for outside solutions.
From the sky, the joy is clear. On the ground, the work continues. But today, we celebrate how far they’ve come—and the sky-high future still to come.
